“I really enjoy growing alongside my child—raising them at home while building my own business. At first, I worried whether I could actually pull it off. But by squeezing out time to learn while teaching my own child step-by-step, I gained the confidence to officially launch my own family daycare center!”

I no longer have to worry about my English! Parents are extremely satisfied with my teaching, and I never expected I could comfortably teach in Chinese while watching the children grow academically. It gives me an incredible sense of recognition and fulfillment!

Tired of the 9-to-5 commute and earning money that can’t keep up with inflation, I didn’t want to just sit around living off my savings as I got older. Seeing the innocent smiles on the kids’ faces brings back my youthful energy. Now, I have achieved a worry-free retirement with a fulfilling purpose—and I get to decide how much work I take on!

What is a Family Daycare Center?

A family daycare center is defined as the regular provision of care, protection, and supervision in the care provider’s own home for children whose parents or guardians are absent, for less than 24 hours per day. A large family daycare center may care for no more than 14 children.

Market and Value Analysis

Childcare is a fundamental necessity, and with the growing population of new Chinese immigrants alongside increasing demand for Chinese language learning, facilities offering Chinese-language instruction face long waiting lists. At the same time, family childcare homes avoid the high risk of contagious illnesses common in large daycare centers while providing individual care and personalized learning plans. A licensed large family daycare center can enroll up to 14 children. Given that parents pay an average monthly tuition of $1,014 to $1,448 per child for preschool, generating over $10,000 in monthly revenue for a family daycare is easily achievable!
